Can I lose one stone in one week?

I was browsing the internet last night looking for weight loss fixes and came across James Duncan's diet.

The Rules

  1. No alcoholic drinks.
  2. Permitted drinks: Black coffee, tea, lemon/grapefruit juice without sugar.
  3. No milk, butter or fats.
  4. NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS
  5. Abstain from all not included in diet. Eat what is shown or go without.
  6. ONLY DIET FOR ONE WEEK IN THREE - TWO WEEKS OFF
  7. No substitutes allowed. The basis of the diet is chemical, not the quantities.
  8. Lunch and dinner may be swapped but only on the same day.
  9. GUARANTEED TO LOSE ONE STONE IN ONE WEEK.

Having read through it, it seems tough, Day 1 especially, but I'm going to give it a go. Heck, if I can lose a stone by this time next week, it'll be worth it - surely?

Weigh in - 10/3/14 - 11 Stone 11lbs

Day 1

Breakfast
1 Slice of dry toast with a grilled tomato/ tinned tomatoes

Lunch
Fresh Fruit (Any amount)

Dinner
2 Hard boiled eggs with salad and grapefruit

Ok, so I have had my breakfast, it consisted of one slice of medium brown bread, toasted with a few cherry tomatoes (4) cut up and placed on top. I am on my third cup of black coffee... coffee without milk is not my favourite! I'm currently hungry and I'm dreading the fruit for dinner...

I must add that I am not endorsing any diet/s that I put on this page. This is purely for my own purpose. If you do attempt to follow any diet/s on my blog, then please consult your doctor first. Crash dieting is not healthy and weight loss should be a steady process of healthy eating and a moderate exercise regime.

Hi, I'm Bex and I'm a size 12...

So, a little about me and my weight loss struggle...

I recently hit 30 and boy, don't I know it! As a youngster, I was always a size 6/8 (UK) dipping into bouts of anorexia and bulimia. I hit a point (aged 22) when I realised how much I actually loved food. So from there my love affair with food really started. After 8 years of stuffing my face and 2 pregnancies, I now weigh nearly 12 stone and my dress size is a 12 (UK). I must add that I did do my fair share of running whilst stuffing my face, completing several races and a half marathon last year. Now, due to operations I am unable to exercise until the end of my treatment, so I thought I would try (another) diet.

I have followed several diets in the last few years, Weight Watchers, Slimming World, 5:2, Dukan Diet, and ok, they may work, but I am impatient. When I set my mind on wanting something, I want it yesterday! So for me, the results were not quick enough. Which is why I failed. I wasn't willing to put myself through weeks and weeks of dieting for slow results. I need something which comes off and that I can keep off by maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

This blog will hopefully allow you to follow my journey day by day, as a sort of food diary.

So fingers crossed, here I go...
